Battery scrap
Scrap lead acid batteries.
What we accept
Scrap lead acid batteries, from vehicle fleets, standby power, plant and site clearance.
Bought by weight
Batteries are weighed on arrival and a weight ticket is issued against the load, recording gross, tare and net, as for any other material.
Handled as its own stream
Batteries are kept as a separate stream rather than going in with general industrial scrap, and a lot may be inspected at the yard by arrangement.
Lead acid only
Scrap lead acid batteries are taken as complete units, including plates, posts and case. Lithium, nickel cadmium and other chemistries are not handled alongside them.
Kept whole and upright
Batteries are kept upright and are not broken open. They are stored and loaded apart from other scrap because of the acid they hold.
