Sheet, coil and wire scrap

Steel sheet, coil, wire and wire rod.

What we accept

Steel sheet, coil, wire and wire rod. Material is weighed and graded on arrival at our yard in Mina Abdallah.

Light gauge, handled differently

Sheet and coil are light for their volume, so they are baled rather than cut. A baled load carries far more weight into the same space.

Wire and wire rod

Steel wire and wire rod are taken alongside sheet and coil, as their own form rather than mixed into the same bale.

Loose sheet is bulky

Sheet, coil and wire are light for their volume, so loose material is baled or bundled before shipment. A baled load carries several times the weight of the same container loaded loose.

Coated against bare

Galvanised, painted and plated sheet is kept apart from bare steel. Wire and wire rod are separated from flat sheet because they bale and charge differently.

From the yard to the port

Five stages, handled by us, in the order they happen.

  1. 01

    Grading and preparation

Material is sorted and graded, then cut, sheared or baled to the size the buyer specifies.

  2. 02

    Weighing

Every load is weighed and a weight ticket is issued against it, recording gross, tare and net.

  3. 03

    Inspection

A lot may be inspected at the yard by arrangement. Photographs and weights of a specific lot are provided on request.

  4. 04

    Container loading

Sorted material is loaded to container at the yard, grade by grade rather than mixed.

  5. 05

    Documentation and shipment

Paperwork is handled from the yard through to the port, and the shipment leaves through Shuaiba or Shuwaikh.
