Stainless steel scrap
All grades. Pipe and fittings, plates, plate cuttings, sheets, coils and turnings.
What we accept
All grades of stainless steel, as pipe and fittings, plates, plate cuttings, sheets, coils and turnings. Much of it arrives from process plant and from mechanical work.
The grade is in the alloy
Stainless is bought on its alloy content, so the same shape can sit in different grades. Material is assessed rather than taken on appearance.
Turnings and cuttings
Stainless turnings and plate cuttings are taken as their own streams and kept separate from carbon steel, which would otherwise pull the whole load down.
304 against 316
304 is the common eighteen eight grade. 316 carries molybdenum and is worth more. The two look alike, so loads are tested rather than taken on appearance.
Magnetic grades and attachments
Four hundred series stainless is magnetic and grades below the three hundred series. Carbon steel bolts, brackets and welded attachments are removed before the load is graded.
From the yard to the port
Five stages, handled by us, in the order they happen.

A lot may be inspected at the yard by arrangement. Photographs and weights of a specific lot are provided on request.
- 04
Container loading
Sorted material is loaded to container at the yard, grade by grade rather than mixed.
